Write ups are short as these are being written quite late on.
12:35 Punchestown – The Holy One 8/1 – 0.5pt ew – Harrington hurdlers have made a heavy amount of profit around this course for connections and this one probably has a nice ew chance too. He was 4th just 15 days ago at Down Royal off 2lb higher and should be competitive again today. He looks to be the clear stable favourite with Robbie Power booked. Each way chance, and although he’d have like softer ground, he did win a point to point on good ground.
1:50 Cheltenham – Dynamite Dollars 3/1 – 1pt win – This horse made a nice start to chasing 29 days ago when winning a Market Rasen race in nice style. He won by 9 lengths against the 6/5 favourite that day which was Highway One O One. That horse is rated 140 off fences so that form looks pretty strong. The favourite for this race did beat Chesterfield on chase debut. But Chesterfield went on to show there wasn’t a lot in it betweeen him and Highway One O One. The form suggest it’s between the top two, and I’ve sided with the one at nicer odds. Nicholls is +71 P/L with chasers around here in the past 5 years.
2:25 Cheltenham – Sceau Royal 5/4 – 1pt win – This is quite a short price but he has the most class In this field. He has been off course for almost 300 days but prior to that he won some nice races, including the Henry VII Novices Chase at Sandown where he was 11 lengths infront of current 150 rated chaser North Hill Harvey, and 61 lengths infront of the late Finians Oscar who sadly lost his life. Sceau Royal has won well after breaks before, and he should go close again if he jumps well in the Simon Munir and Isaac Suede double green silks.
