2:00 Plumpton – Rosy World 4/1 -1pt win – Back on course after nearly a year off, Rosy World has a great deal of potential. She finished 2nd , 3rd and 1st respectively in three Bumper races. She has now been schooled over the smaller obstacles and is hopefully really to go. She is well thought of by connections; and Sue Smith horses have a good track record around here. Conditions should, and with a clear round of jumping and fitness intact 4/1 may be good value.
3:45 Wolves – Red Stripes 10/3 – 1pt win – This Gelding has a tendency to finish 2nd But is well handicapped and is probably better than he is showing. He has won twice with much higher marks in the past two years and has followed that up with a string of good runs in defeat. He was 2nd over C&D off this mark last time. He receives 4lb from the market leader, plus a further 5lb that this claimer takes off. Weighted to be bang there.
4:45 Wolves – Club Tropicana 20/1- 0.5pt ew – at this price he is definitely worth a each way play. Richard Spencer’s Filly has been a little dissapointing since her earlier days but still has a say. She was 9th on her third career run in a Fillies Group 2 at HQ, where 4 of those horses infront of her have gone on to be rated 100+ In the ratings. She was third around here on her 2nd handicap run off a mark of 85, and has since slipped a stone in the ratings. She has a bit to prove, including stamina, but this new trip may give her a second wind and a chance to get off the mark with a low mark. I’d hope to at least run into a place though.
